01The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Talk to Tender. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these terms.
Use Talk to Tender, and you're agreeing to this page and the privacy policy.
02Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to use Talk to Tender. By using it, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Talk to Tender is a private journalling and reflection app, meant for your own personal use.
18 or older, and it's your own journal.
03Not therapy or medical care
Talk to Tender is not a therapist, a counsellor, or a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and nothing it writes is medical advice.
Tender, the companion, is an AI. Its reflections can be wrong, and it is no substitute for a qualified professional.
I can be wrong. I'm not a professional, and I can't help in an emergency.
04Your content
What you write in Talk to Tender is yours. You keep ownership of your journal entries, check-ins and messages.
You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your entries, to send them for AI processing so we can return the insights you asked for, and to show them back to you. We do not publish your entries, share them with other users, or sell them.
What you write is yours. I only use it to do my job.
05Fair use
When you use Talk to Tender, you agree not to:
- Use the service to plan or carry out anything illegal
- Attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
- Use the service on behalf of someone else without their knowledge
- Resell or redistribute access to the service
Nothing illegal. And please don't try to break me.
06Subscriptions and refunds
Talk to Tender offers an optional premium subscription that unlocks the full set of features.
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store, to your Apple Account
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription
- Refund requests go to Apple, through the App Store
Apple handles the money. Cancel any time in your App Store settings.
07Ending things
We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app's settings.
Deleting your account removes your entries permanently, as described in our Privacy Policy. It does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel that in your App Store settings.
Leave whenever you like. Cancel the subscription too, though. Deleting your account won't.
08Disclaimer
Talk to Tender is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, or that its reflections will be accurate or suitable for you.
To the extent the law allows, Talk to Tender is not liable for decisions you make based on anything the app tells you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
I try hard. I can't promise I'm always right, or always up.
09Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Talk to Tender after that means you accept the new terms.
Big changes get announced in the app before they count.
